Student Ministry

Sunday - 9:30AM Sunday School, 10:45AM Worship Service. Wednesday-6:30PM Bible Study for all ages

The Youth Ministry of Hillcrest Baptist Church

Due to Covid restrictions, our student activities are being limited at this time. We will add events to our Events Calendar as we are able to plan them.

Our student ministry is very exciting with many opportunities for students to get involved. The student ministry ranges from 7-12th grade. We have a passion for this age group and desire to see these students grow in Christ and grow in fellowship with one another. We want to see these students grow out of the mindset of just being kids that attend the same church and grow into the mindset of loving one another and becoming a family of believers in Christ Jesus.

Along with the three weekly meeting times listed below, this ministry has monthly events ranging from afternoon swimming parties to week long camps and retreats. There is always some way to have fun and grow in Christ in our student ministry.

Connection Groups
On Sunday Morning, the students participate in Connection Groups at 9:30am. The students are currently going through Lifeway's Explore the Bible Series. This series teaches through books of the Bible and gives real world application to the student's eyes through the lens of the Bible. Middle School and High School meets separately during this time.

Small Group Discipleship
On Sunday Evenings, the students participate in a discipleship course taught by our Student Pastor. This time is used to focus on growing in the grace of Christ and learning how to better lead others to a saving knowledge of Christ. Middle School and High School meets together during this time.

Collide Worship
Wednesday evenings are focused on fun and growth. The students begin in our recreation or multi-purpose room that has games, a pool table, xbox, and other things for the students to hang out and fellowship. At 6:30, students participate in worship lead by a praise band and hear a message from the Student Pastor. The students regularly go through a series of sermons that are written with them in mind. This is an excellent opportunity for the students to not only worship together, but also to grow in Christ. The purpose of Collide Worship is to promote the mindset found in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." We are called to join or "collide" our lives with Christ's and this is the focus this worship service.
