Ignite Student Ministry of Hillcrest Baptist Church

Our student ministry is very exciting with many opportunities for students to get involved. The student ministry ranges from 6-12th grade. We have a passion for this age group and desire to see these students grow in their relationship with Christ. We also encourage them to grow in fellowship with one another and to grow in service to our church and to our community. We want to see these students grow out of the mindset of just being kids that attend the same church and grow into the mindset of loving one another and sharing the love of Christ with others.

Along with the  weekly meeting times listed below, this ministry has monthly events ranging from bonfires, to attending concerts, to week long camps and retreats. There is always some way to have fun and grow in Christ in our student ministry.

Sunday Morning Bible Study
On Sunday morning, the students participate in Bible study at 9:30am. The students are currently going through Lifeway's Explore the Bible Series. This series teaches through books of the Bible and gives real world application to the student's eyes through the lens of the Bible.

Wednesday Night Student Worship
Wednesday evenings are focused on fun and growth. The students begin in our recreation or multi-purpose room that has games, a pool table, and other areas to encourage  the students to hang out and fellowship. At 6:30, students participate in worship  and hear a message from the Student Pastor. The students hear sermons that are written with them in mind. This is an excellent opportunity for the students to not only worship together, but also to grow in Christ. The purpose of the Wednesdy night student worship is to promote the mindset found in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Our hope is to ignite our lives in Christ in order to share His love with those around us.
